Brominated SBS, also known as Brominated polystyrene-polybutadiene tri-blockpolymer, is a new flame retardant that can replace hexabromocyclododecane(HBCD) flame retardant application in expanded polysty rene and extruded polystyrene foam plate. Brominated SBS flame retardant is stable high molecular weight - polymer, with high thermal stability, and good compatibility of polystyrene material, can share with the current EPS / XPS flame retardant system, not easy to moisture, help to reduce EPS beads residual water content, improve production efficiency, under the same bromine content, brominated SBS in polystyrene foam flame retardant is better than HBCD, polymer structure is not easy to be absorbed by organisms, eliminate the environmental concerns.
